Why to write the book?
Good question:) I am already busy enough. But yet I realized that writing this book is good idea. There are two main reasons - I feel ready to put together and present my experience in a nice package. And then there another thing, something that happened few years back. The nudge.
I was being interviewed for a job by a potential boss-to-be and he was pressing me with questions about what I really want to achieve in my professional life. Nothing I said was ever accepted by him, he claimed he can't see my true ambition in that. Gradually, I was getting upset.
Concept of the book
Lead, Grow, Transform is about letting your leadership work both ways - to grow the team, to develop the team abilities and to create environment for the team success. But at the same time, to help you learn and improve too, in other words to grow along the development of your team.
Why does it matter? Leading transformation requires continuous learning and open mindset. One part of that challenge is to make yourself ready for such leadership. Another challenge of equal difficulty is how to inspire and motivate for change also the ones who would benefit from the transformation the most.
